Your role

IBM Malaysia’s internship program is a program geared toward current university students to place them in industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership.

In this role, you will have the main tasks as below:

  • Providing financial analysis support to countries in the Asia Pacific region
  • Assist in analyzing IBM forecast, budget, actuals, and business metrics and dynamics.
  • Assist in forecast and budget variance analysis, and provide ongoing business assessments and recommended solutions.

Training & development 

IBM’s efforts in employee training & development are roughly divided into two types of programs:

  • Employee Training and Development: A strategic tool for improving business outcomes by implementing internal educational programs that advance employee growth and retention.
  • Management Training and Development: The practice of growing employees into managers and managers into effective leaders by the ongoing enhancement of certain knowledge, skills, and abilities.

About you

Required technical and professional expertise you should have to apply for this role:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Banking/ Economics, Commerce, Business Studies/ Administration/ Management (a Major in Finance or Accounting will be an added advantage)
  • A CGPA of at least 3.0 and above is a MUST
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to plan and organize work.
  • Ability to work and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing

Basic requirements

  • Candidate must be able to commit at least 6 months of internship.
  • Candidate must be pursuing at least a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

It will also be preferred if you know additional language skills.
